Eight villagers build homes and trades in the clearings around the old village. One of them carries a curse: by day they work and smile like everyone else; by night they become the beast. Find it before the Blood Moon on night 8, or the curse is forever.

HOW TO PLAY
By day, grow your household: workers chop trees and mine ore, tend farms, fish from a fishing hut. Build houses for more people. Pick a trade to boost one of them.
By night the beast hunts. It's two tiles wide: a wall ring with a one-tile gap keeps it out but lets your people through. Campfires light the dark, towers shoot, and soldiers fight back (spearmen beat riders, riders beat archers, archers beat spearmen).
Find the beast. Clues: your hounds growl when it walks near in human form. Wolfsbane (brewery) thrown at someone who carries the curse turns them into the beast for all to see. It burns on holy ground at the chapel. At dawn a blood trail leads from its last kill to where it changed back. Silver weapons (forge) hurt it twice as much.
Gates have three settings: Allies only (you and anyone at peace with you), Open to all (people and wild animals; never the beast) or Locked (nobody, your own people included).
Workers look after themselves: idle builders put up any unfinished building nearby, and a worker who finishes a farm, fishing hut, sawmill or mine goes on to work it. Set your tent's rally point on trees or ore (right-click with the tent selected) and new workers go straight to gathering there; on a farm or fishing hut, they start working it.
Soldiers from the barracks attack wolves, boars and bears on their own. Units never share a tile: they spread out when they arrive.
Attacking another villager breaks your alliance with them for a while, so be sure first.
Villagers the beast kills rise as its thralls, hunting for it at night. Others become ghosts who can possess a wild animal and fight on.
The village wins by killing the beast. The beast wins if every villager falls, or if it survives the Blood Moon on night 8.
As the beast: keep up appearances by day. At night, hunt to level up and keep your hunger fed; unlock Prowl, Pounce, Howl, Scent and Infect. Get home before dawn so nobody sees you change.
